Dinning in a Winter Igloo at Coppa Club, Tower Bridge

Whether you opt for lunch, some polite evening cocktails or dinner, you’re guaranteed to catch some amazing views whilst dinning at Coppa Club.

Coppa Club is a chain restaurant currently in 6 locations offering an all day European Menu with separate Children and Non-Gluten menus too. The Tower bridge branch is local to me and I love the views captured while on their terrace. The terrace is south-facing with amazing views of the River Thames and some of London’s iconic buildings like The Shard.

Coppa club gets creative with their terrace space throughout the seasons, from the beautiful cabanas & outstanding paradise pods through the summer giving their guests those tropical summer vibes and as winter approaches they switch it up to the cosiest winter igloos until the end of January.

The igloos have become so popular and it’s advised that you make a reservation to avoid disappointment. However, they have spared some igloos on a first come first serve basis which I think is pretty considerable for those that wouldn’t mind a little waiting time.

On arrival, I was welcomed by one of the waitresses who honestly was in such a pleasant mood. Without wasting any time she led me into “my Igloo”, showed me how to operate the heating if required. She offered to bring some drinking water while I read through the menu, although she had no idea that I already knew what I wanted and I didn’t make it obvious neither. 😀

Drink

Glass of Rosé Spumante Veneto 11% (£5.95)

Such a refreshing fizz and warmed me up a little. I love me some Fizz any time of the day day.

Starter

Seared King Prawns (£6.95)

These right here are so scrumptious, a portion of 4 juice prawns with garlic, lemon, chilli & extra virgin oil on a slice of nice warm bread. I rushed through that plate and almost ordered a second portion but I was able to control my appetite.

Main

Pappardelle & Beef Ragu (£5.95/£10.95)

The Chef uses fresh pasta cooked to order with slow cooked shin ragu, chianti & parmesan.

The pasta was cooked to perfection served with a reasonable portion of well-seasoned ragu.

Dessert

Sticky Toffee Pudding (£6.45)

I can still feel the warmth and the beautiful aroma that came with this plate and the subtle crunch of the crushed honeycomb followed by the slow melting rich vanilla in the toffee sauce. This pudding was delightful, loved it.
